Vintage Goodness

The past couple of months have been exceptionally busy at our retailer, The Queen of Hearts.  So much so that I  haven't had much of an opportunity to share my finds before they went out the door.  So today I made it a point to grab a few shots before I left.

The rustic booth has been so, so busy this fall.  And for good reason!  This time of year is the perfect time to pull out all your gathering baskets and bundle up some goodness inside of them.

This large tub is one of my favorites in the booth currently.  It sits in a wooden folding wash stand.  Isn't it awesome?

It's great filled with ice & beverages for those wonderful fall gatherings.  And when it's not in use as a cooler, it's the perfect vessel to fill with all sorts of rustic artifacts of the season.

This big boy is an old painted wood bin.  It's heavy solid wood - I think walnut.  Apparently someone used old reclaimed wood to make it.  Do you see the cut outs for a door & locks?  Oh, and it has wheels {I love wheels!}.

Another favorite for me is this old wagon from the 50's.  Love the streamline design.  I'm liking the berries & lamp inside; and if it's still around for the holidays, I'm pretty sure this will end up on my front porch!  A small Christmas tree added to the berries & lamp would make a welcoming site when you enter through the front door.

Here's one last container that I had to throw in 'cause it's just so cool.  This is a handmade container that has these cute wood handles on both sides and a footed base.  I love how someone painted the inside.  I would throw in some pine cones & let a lot of the painted surface peek through.  It would actually make a really cute pet bed for a small breed dog or a cat.

The mid century booth has changed up quite a bit over the past couple of months.  This is a really nice bookcase I just reconditioned.  Great quality 1950's piece with the classic pencil legs.  If you hang out with me on Facebook, you saw its debut last week.  So pretty.

I've got some fantastic furniture pieces to get into the mid century booth - were hoping by next week.  There's a complete dining set and a complete bedroom suite all in mint condition.

I love this pendant light.  The photo doesn't do it near the justice it deserves.  It's a beautiful 60's lamp shade made with a nubby textural woven yarn over a lined shade.  Perfect condition, it would be a nice modern statement hung beside a low profile side chair or over a dining table.

So there you have it - a few additions of late.

The Queen is having their Holiday Open House on Thursday, November 8th from 6 pm - 9 pm at the Alpharetta location.  If your in the area that evening, make it a point to stop by - the dealers do a great job staging for the event and there's quite a crowd!  Lot's of good food, drinks, and shopping.  What more could a girl ask for?  Closer to time, I'll be throwing out a 15% coupon on my Facebook page for those of you shopping that evening, so don't forget to hop over & grab yours!

  1. Cool lampshade and love the large bucket on the stand. I will have to remember about the open house.
