Sweet Revival {the After}


Remember the industrial cart I was working on over the weekend (see the before here)? That's him below. Isn't it lovely?


Here it was in its original state of urban grit


Dry as a bone and not much to look at. 



 And here it is now with a fresh coat of pretty all over.




I enjoy seeing the years of wear left in place. After all, those chips, nicks were well earned. Instead of making it new, I've simply cleaned it up, revived the dry wood, & given it a new purpose.

    1. thank you! we came across it while out visiting our daughter in wisconsin. the piece was completely sun baked & was dry as a bone when we rescued it. amazing how forgiving wood can be when given a little tlc!
